3rd Assignment: Philanthropic Activities

Using energy, talent, resources, money, or possession to help and do good to those who are down on their luck is the meaning of Philanthropy. Every religion of the world recommend it to their congregation. Then, if we want to be philanthropist, who should we give our help for? Many people in this world worth it. Such as starving people, abused victims, disaster victims, and homeless people. We can do many thing to help homeless people if we want to. Even as a mere students there are at least three actions to help them

First, we can propose the development of low price flats on certain location to the labor department. With the existence of the flats many people doesn't have to sleep on the street or under the bridges. And for the flats, they can pay it little by little so it won't be really hard for them to rent it.

Second, by collecting money from the benefactors to help the build of those flats or help those homeless people directly. A little money from us giving a big help for them. From our money they can sleep in a better bed and warmer place. Far from the dirt of the street and the cold of the night.

Third, give directions to the homeless people to stay at the flats. With that much effort we gave into the flats development, if they don't know or want to stay there, it will be waste. We can show them the advantages of the flats and suggest them to use it. Because sometimes there are stubborn people who think that live in the flats only wasting their money eventhough in fact it's not true.

To conclude, it's not difficult to be philanthropist and help those who need, especially homeless people. Because where there is a will there is a way. And as the base, we should open our eyes and realize that they need us.

Although it generally considered safe and well tolerated, antibiotics still have many drawbacks. There are two common side effects of the antibiotics.

Secondly, antibiotics can also cause diarrhea. Sometimes caused by the anaerobic bacterium, Clostridium difficile, which results from the antibiotic disrupting the normal balance of the intestinal flora.

So, aside from the effectiveness of antibiotics, its also have adverse drawbacks that should be aware off. And because of each person has different immune system, we should realize what our body need and need not so we can choose carefully which antibiotics can be accepted and which are not.

1st Assignment: Technological Advancement and Its Benefits

Technology is the basic knowledge of human to create something to adapt or even control their environment. It also can refer to material objects to use for humanity. As the days, months, and years passing by, people never stop dedicate their life on advancing technology and always try their hardest to make a better life. And until today on people are able to create more wonderful technologies which are beyond our imagination in the past. Yet, there are two technological advancements that attract more people in the world as the high benefit of mankind creation.

First is the automated smart car. With its artificial intelligence and well made machine, this car can maximize the convenience, comfort and safety of the driver and passenger, whilst minimizing the impact on the environment. Example of the car’s features are adaptive cruise control which uses either a radar or laser setup allowing the vehicle to slow when approaching another vehicle and accelerate again to the preset speed when traffic allows. Other features are automatic parking, driver monitoring system, driverless car, etc.

Second is the invisibility cloak. As its name, this cloak can make anyone who wears it unseen/invisible. Although it’s not created totally invisible yet, this cloak has made interest with the metamaterials which can cover bump instead reflected light back towards the source like a flat surface would do, hiding the bump underneath. Any normal curved material would scatter the light at a variety of different angles. If this invisibility cloak can be perfectly done, it will make great effect on the safety of our soldiers as the benefit of it.

To conclude, there are two high technology tools with its great benefits which can drag out people’s attentions in the world. We can always improve the technologies but we can’t always improve the earth and its environment. So, as the responsibility of the technological advancement we made, we should never forget to get better alongside with the realm.
